HPE Synergy Grow query

Hi all

I'd like some guideadnce on the correct process for assigning IP addresses to the new satellite modules present in Frame 3 when adding this to an existing 2 frame HA environment.

The existing 2 frame Logical Enclosure has been configured to apply iLO IP addresses from the configured address pool, but all the ICM IP addresses have been manually assigned IP addresses from outside the pool (just static IP addresses assigned). How\Where do I manually assign the IP addresses to the new Satellite modules when Frame 3 is connected?

The guide says to create a new LIG reflecting the new number of enclosures and link topology, followed by creating a new Enclosure Group using the new LIG - is it here that I set the IPs for the new modules? I can see radio buttons for 'DHCP', 'Address Pool' or 'Managed Externally' and I need to set this to 'Address Pool' for the iLO. 

When you 'create' a new Logical Enclosure, you then get the opportunity to auto-populate the iLO and\or ICM IP addresses from the pool or to manually assign IP addresses to each device. But the grow guide says to edit the existing logical enclosure to reparent it to the new Enclosure Group - I can't see where I can then manually assign the IP addresses to the new Satellite modules? 

Do I perhaps need to allow OneView to auto-assign them from the pool and then manually edit them once the grow operation is complete?

Just to understand your starting situation:  you have a mix of pool and static within the same logical enclosure?  How did you accomplish that (some specific choices in the LE edit/etc)?  However you did that, that's what you'll need to do again.  I don't think the grow process was documented with a mix in mind (in fact, it might not even have been a feature back then, those buttons did not previously exist).  You might have to use pool and set ICMs static after everything settles.
