HPE Synergy servers booting from ISCSI

Hi

I just configured HPE synergy server to boot from iSCSI LUN from DELL and it is working good even have secondary path configured

However when ESXi boots up it takes IP address of iSCSI initiator and puts it as management IP and that first NIC configured is used to boot from LUN

Is this normal behaviour on Synergy Serversprofile.JPGIP address of the host.JPGnetwork adaptes.JPG

System recommended content:

1. HPE Ethernet 53x, FlexFabric 53x/63x, and Synergy Converged Network Adapters | ESXi iSCSI Boot from SAN for Synergy

2. DEPLOYING AND UPDATING VMWARE ESXI ON HPE SERVERS

Re: Query: HPE Synergy servers booting from ISCSI

this is exactly the document I followed and it is working all good but it is tied to management network

My question is is this normal behaviour that it requires management network NIc to boot from esxi

Hello,

This seems to be as expected.

Do all servers exhibit the same behaviour?

Thanks.
