Reimage the HPE Synergy Composer appliance
Dears
We need to reimage the HPE Synergy Composer appliance and install HPE OneView on our HPE Synergy 12000.
We have downloaded HPE_Synergy_Composer2 (file: HPEOneView-Composer2-6.60.07-0487691.gz), extracted the compressed image, and copied its contents to a USB flash drive. After that, we pressed the reset button.
We need guidance on the following:
- Steps to reimage the HPE Synergy Composer appliance and install HPE OneView.
- Instructions for creating a bootable USB flash drive for the reimaging process.
- Required file formats and extensions for the USB flash drive.
- Specifications for the USB flash drive (capacity, format, etc.).
Looking forward to your support.

Re: Reimage the HPE Synergy Composer appliance
You want the "HPE Synergy Appliances Maintenance and Service Guide for HPE Synergy Composer2"
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00090211en_us&docLocale=en_US
You do not "install" HPE OneView; that's what a reimage operation is. It puts the firmware (OneView) onto the Composer.
The USB is not bootable.
You mention extracting the compressed contents: did you put all of the files onto the USB? It requires all of the files, not just the large one.
