Synergy Composer and SY iLOs - always on same subnet?

One simple Question: Is it a must to have SY-Node-iLOs on the same subnet as OneView? Or is it possible to have iLOs in subnet A and OneView in subnet B? I read that it is possible to have multiple networks on the same VLAN (doesn't matter if tagged or untagged) and that the switch will do the routing. Any thoughts or practical expirience about this?

The general guidance is that they must all be on the same subnet.

If you can get 2 subnets on the same VLAN, that might work, but it's very uncommon in the wild.
