Good day
Want to ask for some advice. We are struggling to get uplink cables for a Synergy Frame VC up.
VC type = Virtual Connect SE 100Gb F32 Module for Synergy (firmware version: 2.6.0.1001)
Cable used = HPE BladeSystem c-Class 40G QSFP+ to 4x10G SFP+ 3m Direct Attach Copper Splitter Cable 721064-B21 (this cable is listed on VC quick specs)
1st Cable is connected on VC Bay 3 port Q3 and connected to Huawei S6730 TOR Switch 1 (utlizing 4 ports on the Huawei switch)
2nd Cable is connected on VC Bay 6 port Q3 and connected to Huawei S6730 TOR Switch 2 (utlizing 4 ports on the Huawei switch)
In oneview this alert appears and connections is not coming up for both cables. (uplink sets is created in oneview)
Network engineer had a look on the Huawei switch and the below is what the one port says for example
The Network engineer did as a test unseat the 8 cables on the Huawei switches, changed the ports config to "Base-Fiber" to see if it helps but as soon as the 8 cables are seated on the Huawei switches again then the ports automatically changes back on the Huawei switches to "Base-Copper" and the links are still down.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello,
Please refer to section "Uplink port and forward error correction" of the "HPE OneView 8.8 User Guide for HPE Synergy" and see if it helps.

Re: Synergy Uplinks Not Coming Up
Hi
Thank you
Had a look but seems to be only relevant to 25Gb and 100Gb, in this particular case its 10Gb speeds.
But thanks

Re: Synergy Uplinks Not Coming Up
Hello,
The cable is compatible and is a Direct Attach Copper Splitter Cable. We believe that some settings related to cable connectivity might need adjustment on the switch end.
Cheers...
