Hello,
I am pretty new to iMC and one of my first tasks is adding the devices. We have an IRF with two A5500, when I use 'add device' and enter the IP address or use 'auto discovery' the IRF is found, but shown as device type ICMP. This limits the configuration and monitor possibilities. What am I doing wrong?

SolutionHello !
You need to configure the SNMP parameters on Switch and IMC. If possible, set the telnet and ssh. But SNMP is extremely necessary.
Monitoring by ICMP will only make the IMC check if the device is responding to ping.

Re: A5500's in IRF show in iMC as device model ICMP?
SNMP was disabled on the IRF. After enabling it and adding the community strings, discovery worked without problems. Thank you very much for your help!
