Monitoring HA state - Index or other
I am trying to pull HA-state from checkpoint firewalls. The OID returns a string, for example "active" or "standby". How do I present the state in IMC? How can I create an alert based on this? To create a threshold I can only compare with an integer.
Regards

Re: Monitoring HA state - Index or other
Via Resource->Performance Management->Global Index Settings you can add new custom user defined indexes with tresholds and related alarms.
Indexes can be used in the performance view of the device or instance.
Gives good overview of Performance monitoring, but can also used perfrctly used as fault monitoring

Re: Monitoring HA state - Index or other
I am able to create a custom index, but I do not know how to trigger an alarm based on a state change. All thresholds are numbers, and my snmp query returns a string.
