Now i have two servers, a rx4640 and a SD64A.
all the pre-requisites are installed and configured, but when i go to the web page on the mozilla and type:
http://server:5060/start.html
it must go to the configuration page, but it frezze show me only this:
Starting HP Instant Support Enterprise Edition...
ive waitin for more than 15 minutes and nothing.
When i try to stop or start the service i get this:
[epdevit]:/home> /sbin/init.d/hpservices stop
Failed to stop client: sleeping (5 sec)
ERROR: matcli -x returned 3 : CL_ERROR_COMM
[epdevit]:/home>
[epdevit]:/home>
[epdevit]:/home> /sbin/init.d/hpservices start
NOTE: hpservices already started
[epdevit]:/home>
ive re installed the agent, but i can resolve the problem, i need i little help with this. Thanks.

Re: Another Error in the Web configuration
Make sure mad daemon is running (ps -ef | grep mad).
Try to stop mad, make sure it's no longer running, then start it up again.
Are you trying to access the GUI from a different network?

Re: Another Error in the Web configuration
1. ps -ef | grep mad, make sure there is only ONE mad running, if you see more than one, use kill -9 and kill all mad processes, then start up hpservices again.
2. Verify that only ONE mad is running, then access the GUI.
3. Make sure you can nslookup the Unix host, also able to ping it from your desktop before accessing the GUI.

Re: Another Error in the Web configuration
does mad.log contain anything more?
Path is /var/opt/hpservices/log/mad.log. Usually it helps.
Best regards,
