Comprehensive and Addl_Comprehensive maps

I'm installing ISEE A.03.95.022.
When i run /opt/hpservices/contrib/SysInfo/bin/setSysInfoCronEntry.sh -i
I get a question: Do you wish to run both the Comprehensive and Addl_Comprehensive maps (y/n)? n

What does it mean, what is Comprehensive and Addl_Comprehensive maps? Which one should I select? Default is n

Re: Comprehensive and Addl_Comprehensive maps

Janne,

Here is the list of what they collect:

Comprehensive System Information MAP (ComprehensiveSystemInfo MAP):

» HPUX File System Configuration
» HPUX General System Information
» HPUX Hardware Information
» HPUX Installed Software
» HPUX LVM Configuration
» HPUX Networking Configuration
» HPUX Security Configuration
» HPUX System Configuration and Logs

Additional Comprehensive System Information MAP (Addl_ComprehensiveInformation MAP):

» Additional File System Configuration
» Additional HP-UX Configuration
» Additional Hardware Configuration
» Additional Network Configuration
» Additional Software Configuration

Hope that helps,

Re: Comprehensive and Addl_Comprehensive maps

Thanks Liem,

That clarifys it a little bit. Will try to ask my HP Account Representative in more detail how the maps are used. My guess is that they are used by eSMG.

Re: Comprehensive and Addl_Comprehensive maps

Hello,
check the following URL for more Information about the MAPs: http://isee.europe.hp.com/isee/MAPscriptsBrowser/index.html
The Addl_Comprehensive will really collect "only" additional data - I would use the Comprehensive Maps.
