Insight Remote Support - download update to version 7.11.0.504 not possible

I want to update Insight remote support from version 7.11.0.179 to 7.11.0.504. However, I get the following error when downloading the package:

  • ID:
    Patch7110Pkg
     
  • Group:
    UCA_V1
  • Status:
    Error
  • Information:
    Caught an unexpected exception while verifying digital signature of downloaded package Patch7110Pkg (7.11.0.504). See the log file for more information

Internet status is Connected and service events are opened automatically. Does anyone else have this error?

Hello,
  • Try Deleting the "%HP_RS_DATA%\ucacore\certs\certs.zip" file.
  • Click the [Check for Updates] button in the I-RS Software management page to update certs.
If it fails, log a support case with Support team.

Thank you for the information.

I have deleted the certs.zip but I do not get any message to update certs.

If I want to open a case, what should I specify here for a S/N. HPE requires a S/N for each case, the IRS is a virtual machine, I cannot specify a S/N here.

Are you saying this didn't work?  I would have expected an update to the certificates to happen silently behind the scenes when you pressed "check for updates"?

I would have to find out about the SN ...

I have asked the support team how you should log this - it may be tomorrow before I get a response, but I will copy that here when I do.

From the support team:

Customers can submit a case using HPE Support Center using their Contract or Warranty ID if they don't have the SN (Note: Customer can still use the physical server SN on where the I-RS VM is running)

I received a new certs.zip from HPE support, which I had to replace in the directory "%HP_RS_DATA%\ucacore\certs\certs.zip".

After a reboot of the IRS the update could be downloaded and installed.
