OSEM Status = Stalled
We get this error on some servers when SIM5 tries to call home for a part. Any idea what is going on?

Re: OSEM Status = Stalled
Most OSEM errors are caused by SNMP configuration issues, you say some servers so I would assume that others are reporting fine. I would take a look at your RSM_0_log.log and it will tell you exactly what is going on. Most likely you have an "SNMP get" error, in which case you will have to check your SNMP properties.

Re: OSEM Status = Stalled
Take a look at this ,
HP Instant Support Enterprise Edition - Archimedes Open Service Event Manager (OSEM) Problem Report Status of "Stalled"
ISSUE:
OSEM, Windows and Linux hardware events, fail delivery to HP. The Problem Reports in OSEMViewer>Notifications pages display a status of ├в Stalled├в This issue was caused by the clients not existing in the Remote Support Services pages. The clients did however exist in the Remote Support Eligible list. It was determined that the HP-SIM Server (CMS) built in Administrator user name had been changed from Administrator to another string. This was verified by right clicking on ├в My Computer├в , selecting Manage from the drop down menu, then expanding the Users/Groups list, and clicking on the Users folder. Also, discovered, the mx_dtf_ssh_bypass_user, which resides in the %root%\Program Files\HP\System Insight Manager\config\globalsettings.props file had been set to Administrator instead of the user name that had replaced the name ├в Administrator├в .
SOLUTION:
To correct this issue open a DOS CLI: Run the Command: mxglobalsettings ├в s mx_dtf_ssh_bypass_user= (where string is the username that replaced the built in administrator name of Administrator). Run the Command: hpsim restart After the HP-SIM services has restarted log back into the HP-SIM GUI, click on the ├в Tasks and Logs├в link, select ├в View All Scheduled Tasks├в Click on the radio button preceding the ├в Synchronize Remote Support├в , then click on the ├в Run Now├в button. After the Synchronize task has completed verify that the Remote Support Eligible client total number is equal to the total number of clients on the Remote Support Services pages.
