Hello, Can you help in my problems?
I have got two installations of CMS at different customer sites and on both sites I have got the same problem with RSCC and RSC.
Operating system on CMS is: W2K3 Enterprise Edition 32 bit with SP1
I installed package of application Insight Software (ICE) 3.10 with:
-HP System Insight Manager 5.3 SP1 (C.05.03.01.00) with Hotfix Update Kit for SIM 5.3 (May 2009)
-Remote Support Configuration and Services 1.0
HP SIM was installed with Insight RSA.
There were no problems during installation of HP SIM, no problems with RSWM initialization
and also no problem with automatic installation of all Insight RSA application, so finally I have got:
HP Remote Support Software Manager (RSSWM) A.05.21 - installed on the Central Management Server by the
-Remote Support Client - ver.A.05.30
-Remote Support Common Components (MC3) ver.A.05.30
-Remote Support Eligible Systems List - ver.A.05.20.25
-Open Service Event Manager (OSEM) – ver.1.4.8.A
-Web-Based Enterprise Services (WEBES) – ver 5.5 with patch 1.0
-Remote Support Configuration Collector (RSCC) – ver.A.05.30.22.051
-Remote Support Configuration Collector Extension (RSCCE) - ver.A.05.30.00.9032
After restarting of CMS server there are some problems like:
-Problems with starting of the RSC service (The Remote Support Client service hung on starting) – finally it starts
-Problems with starting of the HP Uniefied Collector Service service
(Timeout (30000 miliseconds) waitng for the HP Uniefied Collector Service service to connect) - HP Uniefied Collector Service – not started and cannot be started manually
-HP RCC Driver encountered a problem and needed to close
As results in HP SIM - Remote Support Configuration and Services tabs there is a problem to communicate with RSCC (Unable to communicate with Remote Support Configuration Collector). Process of registration the RSC was OK.
On one of the CMS it happened after upgrading to RCS 5.30. On the second it was from the begining because it is new installation.
Regards,
Jola

Solution

						Hi Jola,
I had the same problem. It happens with this version of RSCC when you have aldso RDP installed on the same server.
The solution is:
1- Copy the HookDll to Unified Collector/bin
2- Remove RSCCE and RSCC
3- Reinstall RSCCE and RSCC
4- UC services starts without problem
I attached HookDll.

						Hi Adila,
Thanks for replay. I received the same solution a few weeks ago from HP support.
