Monitor rx2800i6 servers

Hi

We have some rx2800i6 servers still in use, and i woul dlike to monitor those for hardware issue.

I tried our existing OneView, but it do not support the itanium server:
"HPE OneView does not support management of "Integrity rx2800 i6" model servers."

What software solution from hpe support the Integrity platform for monitoring via ilo?

Regards

Robert

Re: Monitor rx2800i6 servers

Hi Robert,
HPE SIM and many enterprise class management systems can be used to monitor rx2800i6/HP-UX, but realistically HPE SMH can be used to accomplish most monitoring tasks on rx2800i6.

HPE System Management Homepage can be accessed on each node via your browser with:

https://hostname:2301/

(replace hostname with your rx2800i6 hostname or IP address)

System recommended content:

1. HPE Insight Remote Support Release Notes and Support Matrix | HPE Integrity and HPE 9000 servers

2. HP Release Sets for HP Integrity rx2800 i2, i4 and i6 server series

Re: Monitor rx2800i6 servers

Thanks. @Hawkeye,

I know SMH a bit but this program only runs for 30 minuttes after it´s activated and i don´t think it can send email alerts by itself?
HP SIM might be overkill for only 6 servers.

Re: Monitor rx2800i6 servers

HPE insight remote support works well & is simple to setup for Itanium i6/i4 RX2800, OVMS needs software agents. Supported, and works on VM, (Not supported on a VM unless on HPE platform) Automatic case ceration is depreciated as of last month. Recommended.
