No hard drive information in system heath
Hi,
I'm using 02 HPE Integrity rx2800 i2 Servers.
I access to server system heath via iLO3 in order see status of server components but there is not any information about hard dirves.
Does any one know the reason, and how can I see my HD?
Thanks.

Re: No hard drive information in system heath
Running HP-UX?
Smart array controller in RAID mode?
Do
ioscan -fn
and look out for the ciss device.
Then do
sautil /dev/ciss0
saconfig /dev/ciss0
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: No hard drive information in system heath
Hi,
I doubt, you will be able to see the raid info/drives from ILO.
To view details about SAS/RAID info under p410i controller (embedded), you may see the info either from,
1.Orca (during boot and entering into Orca)
2.From OpenVMS using "MSA$UTIL.EXE" utility.
$ MC MSA$util
MSA> Show Controller
MSA> Set Controller
MSA> Show Controller
MSA> Show Disk
MSA> Show Disk/Full
MSA> Show Unit/Full
MSA> Exit

Re: No hard drive information in system heath
Hi,
I tried the first command: $ MC MSA$UTIL, but it failed. I got the following message.
May be my account doesn't have audit privilege.
Do you think that it is unable to see disk information from iLO port with this type of server?
Please help more.

Re: No hard drive information in system heath
Hi,
Yes the user need privileges to run the utility and OS is the only place to check.
And from ILO, you cannot see raid card/ disk details for rx2800 i2.
Thanks and Regards.
