Outgoing Mail

My Visnetic mail server is either not sending mail or very slow at it. I have checked and we are not getting blocked by spam engines and we recieve mail fine. People are telling me that their mail is going through but is delayed by a day or more. Some mail does come back with a message:
550 relaying to prohibited by administrator
None of the accounts is set to deny outgoing mail.
Windows 2K server running Visnetic Mail Server 6.2.2 All service packs loaded.

It was a DNS lookup issue.
