NBX and VLANS and priority on WAN
Questions
First- I am having NO audio issues on my LAN.
But I am on the WAN, even when set to use the lowest bandwidth uitilization , codec G729.
So-
Question 1--
If I am using the switch ports on the back of the phone for computers.
Will this still work if I make a voice VLAN ?
Question 2--
If no LAN issue, is it worth it to make a VLAN?
Question 3--
I am currently running 3300's and 4400's for switches-- Level 2.
I am using my 4400's as core switches, they are set up to priorotize the nbx traffic.
What happens to the priority when it goes to the WAN on VTL's.
Is it converted to a Level 3 priority?
Thanks

whatever vlan the ports on the switches are assigned to is what vlan the devices will use

No
All packets are encrypted so no security issues . No garbled speech or distorted audio so no need to segment the traffic .
Question 3--
I am currently running 3300's and 4400's for switches-- Level 2.

What happens to the priority when it goes to the WAN on VTL's.
802.1Q = Quality of service
802.1p = Prioritizataion ( layer 3 traffic )
Is it converted to a Level 3 priority? not normally , but yes as we ( NBX ) can put a tag on it for prioritization
IP VLan enabled is the feature on the NBX .
