Speed dialing without using feature codes
My customer has about 300 system speed dials, and about 400 users. Unfortunately they have about 300 3101a/b phones so I can't problem a system speed dial button to the phone for them, users are getting very frustrated at having to dial either feature 700 5digit speed dial or *700*5digit speed dial.
Is there any way around this without having to replace 300 phones?
Cheers, Soxcamp

Re: Speed dialing without using feature codes
I've found only one way to do this and this is by using number translations. The only problem with doing this is you need to maintain the system spped dial list and the number translations so everything matches, and also entering all the patterns is a giant pain but it does work.
hope this helped.

Re: Speed dialing without using feature codes
The number translations are what we set up/maintain. We set up both the system speed dial and a number translation to allow the use of a 5-digit "speed dial". This means people can still browse the speed dial list if they're using a 3102 or 3103, but use a t-digit number as well.
