HP 1910 Switch-Is it possible to have two static routes to same destination
Hello Everyone,
Is it possible to configure two static routes on a HP 1910 switch to the same destination network? One static route with a higher priority than the other; so that if one connection to a router fails (goes down), the second failover static route takes over the routing to the destination network?
We have two WAN connections, the main is a private WAN and the other WAN is VPN tunnel over the Internet. The HP 1910 is configured as L3 and is the default gateway. We would like to configure the HP 1910 so that if the private WAN connection goes down, the HP 1910 directs the traffic to the backup gateway to the VPN tunnels.
Thanks,
KMR

I guess that should work in theory: when you add your less preferred route, make sure you tick the "Preference" tickbox and add in any value higher than 0.

Thanks Vince! Nice advice. I am going to test the preference setting - hoping this will do the trick.
