GMS 6 one central MS-SQL DB read out settings
Hello!
Since 2 years I use MSM765team with GMS on my main side.
However I have now setup a MSM720 on a remote side.
The next step is to install GMS on the remote reception desk.
The problem for the new Installation is I can not establish a connection to the running db.
I will use one central db for all GMS clients and MSM controllers.
In the GMS setup I choose different computers, MS-SQL and now I have to type in the logging information for the SQL connection.
There is now documentation from the running system. So I tried the default credentials.
But the doesn’t work.
I have access to the MS-SQL server and see that the db gms and user gms is existing.
Is there a possibility to read out the information (like port, password, …) from the working GMS clients.
Environment:
Tow MSM765 as team 6.0.2.0 main side
One MSM720 6.0.2.0 remote side
MS-SQL 2008R2 on the main side
ProcurveManager on the main side 04.00.05.612
3 running GMS clients on the main side

Re: GMS 6 one central MS-SQL DB read out settings
Hi !
FYI: GMS is using SQL-Authentication (not documented ;-)
So you should be able to find the permitted SQL-user acount on your SQL-Server - just set a new password.
Brgds,
RR
