unable to access the MSM415 by hyper terminal
I am trying access the MSM415 through hyper terminal with no success.
I used the correct hyperterminal settings as follows:
Bits per second: 115200
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
But am still cannot access the sensor.
Kindly advise...

The settings are correct (the MSM415 default).
Make sure you are connected via a genuine serial port. The USB adapters very rarely work at that speed.
If you have an IP address for it (check the DHCP server assignments), you can ssh into it instead. Try a hard reset too (paperclip in the reset hole for 3 LED flashes) in case the config is stopping a DHCP assignment.
