Adding SSD Read Cache after volume/LUN creation
SSD SED's are on back order for over a month.
I and going to create my Disk Pools on each controller.
each is going to get a SSD read cache.
We need to start data migration ASAP.
Can I create my volumes/LUN's on the diskpools and then add the SSD read cache later without affecting the data on volumes ?

Re: Adding SSD Read Cache after volume/LUN creation
@mr_vaughn
Yes you can add disk-groups to a Pool at any time. You can also remove them but that requires some timeframe to DRAIN all the data on the disk-group to the remaining disk-groups in the pool. Caveat: you need enough free capacity in the remaining disk-groups to retain all the data on the disk-group beng removed.
A READ-CACHE is a special disk-group in that it retains no unique data and is copy of the data retained on HDD and can be removed quickly. Adding the READ-CACHE after the fact will take some time to fill the READ-CACHE and the performance of the system will gradually increase.
