capiConvertStdToMaster error with Server 2012 and MSA2312fc (DPM 2012 SP1)

We're trying to back up Hyper-V VMs with Microsoft DPM 2012 SP1 and are getting a capiConvertStdToMaster error on the server. I have the latest CAPI/VDS/VSS software installed.I see the volumes are all Standard on the array, and there are no errors recorded in the array logs.

This used to work without any problems under Server 2008R2, but I've been having no luck with Server 2012. The server with the VMs on it is a DL380G8, if it matters.

Has anybody else had much luck with DPM and Server 2012?
