We're looking to purchase some rx2800 i2's, each of which will be connected to x2 MSA50's and x2 P800 Controllers. I appreciate the kit is EOL and not supported per se but it will used purely for static data on non-production /Archive Servers (and will hardware support ).
We will be using the msa$util to configure the disks raid (5) with paritions, but need to be able to Raid across all x20 drives installed on each set of MSA50 enclosures from one of the Controllers on each system. We were planning to buy x2 SAS 4x to Mini SAS 4x 2M to connect the MSA50's to the x2 controllers, but in order to allow me to RAID all x20 drives i believe we would need to daisy chain the x2 MSA50's off each other by connecting a SAS cable (between the SASin and SASout ports on the back of the MSA50's?) ?.
Is that correct and if so can anyone recall what cable (ideally with part no) we'd need to use, ? (I presume we can't use the same type: SAS 4x to Mini SAS 4x 2M P/N: 419571-B21 described above that we'll be using to connect the Controllers to the MSA50's) ?

Re: Daisy Chaining x2 MSA50's connected to P800 Controllers
I would be grateful to anyone that could provide some feedback to the queston raised (this is the 2nd post logged under the MSA board within the past 2 weeks to which I've failed to get a single reply and so can only assume that no-one out there still possesses Msa50's and P800's ?).
