Deleting Default user Nonadmin HPE Storage MSA SAN 2040

Dear Colleagues,

Is there any impact if im deleting default user non admin such as (ftp, and monitor) in HPE Storage MSA SAN 2040 ?

we need delete this default user for security concern

Not any impact but best option If you have option disable the login or change the password.

if i'm checked, there is no option to disable.. but only changed the password and "remove" button is enable.

i was suggest and changed the password.. but still recomended to delete it from our security team

Hi,

There is no impact if you delete default user accounts.

You could create new user accounts as per your security requirements and delete default user accounts.

No issues with deleting the default users, at least 1 user with the manage role must remain.
It's also recommended that you do exactly this.  it is one of the checks in the MSA Health Check to determine if ONLY the default users exist:  https://www.hpe.com/storage/MSAHealthCheck
