Re: Event ID: 58 - Disk detected error
Maybe go to the SMU and drill down to that disk and see if the sn matches ? if so keep a eye on that drive it might need to be replaced.

Re: Event ID: 58 - Disk detected error
Well replacing the HDD resolved the error for that drive(the one we replaced)
but we experienced similer error = 58 to other drives approximatly in every 3rd month. So far we have replced 7 hdd in last 16 months.
I would really appriciate if any one can help me getting rid of this.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Event ID: 58 - Disk detected error
Hi;
We have RAID 50 configured with two global sphares on HP MSA, but one of the Vdisk get leftover status again and again and the reconstruct operation starts automatically. we have to clear meta data and have to add the leftover vdisk to global sphare again and again but it continuously happening from last few days.
if any one has clue/ reason why this happeing and what is the fix will be highly appreciated.
Thanks;

Re: Event ID: 58 - Disk detected error
Hello,
I am facing the same issue on my MSA2012FC: how did you remove (or replace) the disk if it was not in a failed status?
Best Regards.
