Firmare update HP MSA70
I have a old MSA70 but it still runs fine for the purpose its here for.
But i have found a website here on HPE that stated that i could update the firmware on the MSA70.
Can someone guide me trough this process?
I asume my MSA is on Firmware 2.10, while the last version is 2.28
I also just notiched that there is a Micro USB port on the front, but i havent looked at it. (is it a CLI port?)

Re: Firmare update HP MSA70
@denniswier-pro
Here are the links to the Linux and Windows update components.
Linux: https://support.hpe.com/connect/s/softwaredetails?language=en_US&softwareId=MTX_310c8259d5f749b8a1272f1500
Windows: https://support.hpe.com/connect/s/softwaredetails?language=en_US&softwareId=MTX_f6cf2746e6e64951842a9c7280
As you indicated this hardware is very old and out of support. While it is always a good idea to stay current on firmware, in this case you should weigh the risk of attempting a firmware update with the knowledge that there may be no parts for repair if something should go wrong.
The USB port on the front is a 'service personnel' port only. In most cases it is disabled from the factory.

Re: Firmare update HP MSA70
Good evening Jonpaul,
Thank you for the links to the firmware.
But i see that it has to be attached to an HP P2000 G3 or MSA2000 G2.
Currently i dont own one of the 2 Storage controllers, but i did found the HP SUM 9.30 from the HPE site.
I have read that the firmware also should be on this bootable ISO, so i made a bootable USB with using this guide: "HP ProLiant Firmware Maintenance CD User Guide".
This works, but the USB is freezing on this screen:
This stays when i choose "Automated mode" & "Interactive mode"
What should be the command to start this HP SUM?
# hpsum
# ./startup
wont start the application (either 2 options)
