As I read, The FC to SCSI bridge is completely self-sufficient and does not require a driver.

There is no driver. the best thing to do is to change the entry in 'device manager' to 'disabled'. After that windows 2000 will not ask you anymore.

Although there is no driver per se, you don't want to disable the device!

The active fabric lun (or diagnstic lun) is used for firmware updates and other diagnostic functionality to the bridge, so you don't want to disable it.

You can install an INF file which provides a "stub" driver to prevent the message at boot-up looking for a driver. Here's the INF file download:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?locale=en_USтМй=English+%28US%29&pnameOID=261321&prodSeriesId=337410&prodTypeId=12169&basePartNum=COL3396&locBasepartNum=co-16755-1&os=Microsoft+Windows+2000&tech=Driver

If you don't need the diagnostic lun access, you can go in the bridge web/serial interface and remove the active fabric lun. Then it will not appear on any of your hosts.
The journey IS the reward.
