HP MSA Question

I am inheriting a network (with little to no documentation, aside from passwords) that has an HP P2000 G3 MSA Storage array. On the back of the unit, it is connected via the fiber channel to two other HP servers. I need to add more storage, however, I cannot find where to manage it. I looked to see if there were any local tools with no luck. Searches online show it is supposed to be web-managed, but I can't seem to find it anywhere on the network. Anyone have experience with these units that can share some knowledge with me?

Thanks!!

Betreff: HP MSA Question

Hi,

the Storage has a CLI (Command Line) and a Build-In Web GUI.
If you know the Management IP you can use Putty (SSH) or a Browser, no external Software is required.

If you don't know the IP, start here:

Document - HPE P2000 G3 MSA Array Systems - Connecting to the controller CLI port | HPE Support

For using the Weg GUI:

Document - HP P2000 G3 MSA System SMU Reference Guide (500911-008, March 2013) | HPE Support

@ohnalsega
I would caution you about investing into the P2000.  The P2000 went End of Life in 2014 and this system was likely purchased before then.  The current MSA product is MSA 1060/2060 which is the 6th generation (P2000 is 3rd generation).  On top of that expansion parts for the P2000 are no longer available from HPE so your only option would be the open market of leftover parts.
