Hello
I need help with Storage.
You are using Storage MSA P2000 and have two enclosures.
During the power operation, the bottom enclosure became PowerFail and the power was turned off. After replacing it with a spare part, the power turned on
Vmware with storage allocation is not recognized properly. I decided to boot the host after the end of the entire virtualization host.
Phenomenon after power failure
1. Controller A URL not logged in
2. Controller B URL login but no log information is visible
3. After host is finished, Controller B proceeds to reboot Controller A Management
4. Controller A URL is connected, but Unknown occurs
5. Reinstall after Controller A Unmount (within 20 to 30 seconds)
6. Controller A URL is connected, but Unknown continues
7. Controller B sees 4 existing V disks, but 1 V disk does not see Vvolume
8.Decide to stop any more Controller A-related tasks, start the virtualization host boot operation
9. When booting the virtualization host, it was confirmed that the volume, which was not visible from Controller B, was properly attached
10.Virtualization HOST has confirmed that all existing assigned datastore information is recognized.
11. Start VM and run services and close jobs
12. Controller A Unknown is in service.
Is there a way to recover Controller A above?
Additionally, the existing Controller A serial number.
Part number you want to replace. Are the 2 parts compatible?

Re: HP P2000 Storage Error Controller A Unknown Issue Resolution Request
Hi,
as the FRU Number is the same, you can replace it.
The B Version is RoHS Compliant, that's all.
Since the P2000 is now 8-11 years old, I would assume that it is a hardware defect.
