Is there a way to add a drive with existing data to a new array on a MSA 1000 without using the DtS Data Migration and without data loss? We are using Windows 2000 Server, service pack 4. Thanks in advance.

						David,
the process to move disks from other Smart Array controllers to the MSA1000 *is* called DtS (DAS to SAN) and should go without data loss. It is still recommended that you do a backup before you move the disks - imagine what happens when you accidently drop one or it dies at this moment.
There are some limitations (no drives are allowed to have failed, no expansion running, ...), so please check the user's guide before you attempt this.
