MSA 1060 system unavailable
hello
i have a new MSA 1060 , i use ip 10.1.5.4 on controller A and 10.1.5.5 on controller B then updated both firmwares
I am always getting Warning The system is currently unavailable. or Unable to Authenticate Login, Try again even though i can ping both controller and if i cold reboot the msa , i can sign in normally
there is no pools or any storage as this is a new system
what should i do ?i believe this happened after the last firmware IN110R001
i opened a case but the HPE support was very bad and insisted i contact local partner but i am based in congo with non existent partner or very basic ones
what is led ? nothing is in the documents

Re: MSA 1060 system unavailable
Hi
can you login with PUTTY
maybee you firmware update is not finished
if you can try and see the firmware update status try
show firmware-bundles
show firmware-update-status
check firmware-upgrade-health
show versions
activate firmware
down CLI guide and check status with CLI commands
Regards
Give a KUDO if this helps

Re: MSA 1060 system unavailable
Hi,
Reflashing the firmware would be a good idea if the issue started after firmware update. You could execute the exe file again to reflash the firmware.

Re: MSA 1060 system unavailable
The WHITE LED indicates that the system is in a shutdown state and safe to remove. I think you may only need to power cycle the system.
The Web UI (Storage Management Utility, SMU) requires that the storage controller be up and running in order to allow login. You should be able to login from the Serial or into the SSH CLI and run commands:
CLI> show redundancy-mode ==> Shows if the storage controller is 'operational' and if the Management controllers between the controllers are communicating (again 'Operational') you can restart both controllers from the SSH
CLI> restart sc both ==> If one of your controllers is up and running this is disconnect all hosts
