We are using reclaimed stock from another project, the MSA currently has IP addresses manually assigned and we want to change these to a new vlan but when connected to either controller and typing in the new addresses it just reverts back to the current ones. Changing via CLi means a visit to the datacentre, the local user account has full access. Are we missing something or do the controller IP addresses have to be changes by CLi ?

Re: MSA 2050 - Unbale to change IP address of controller A & B via Management interfac
@KH2306
The MSA system has an SSH CLI option as well as the USB Serial CLI option.
What version of firmware is your MSA on? As you are currently re-purposing it's a great time to update the firmware on both the system and the Drives.
Check these sites for what you need:
https://www.hpe.com/storage/MSAHealthCheck - Free system review using the array logs
https://www.hpe.com/storage/MSAFirmware - Quick links to all the firmware you need

SolutionAnd do you use these Commands (Example)?
set network-parameters ip 192.168.200.187 netmask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.200.1 controller a
set network-parameters ip 192.168.200.188 netmask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.200.1 controller b
show network-parameters
(I would first change Controller A, check the connection, and then Controller B.)
