Re: MSa 2070
hi
you are right
Server DL380 g11
Only hba supports 32GB. I put HBA card AJ764 8gb and QW972 16gb it didn't work
These cards should be allowed to work on the server because someone may have an old 8GB or 16GB storage or SanSwitch.
Of course, there is one point
If you have a 32GB HBA card, for example, SN1610 2port 32GB, then connect it to a San switch or storage with a lower speed. is connected But HP company should put an update in the new version of SPP G11 to allow 8gb-16gb HBA cards to work on the server.

@sushil_P
Please read the MSA Gen7 QuickSpecs
"*Check with your HPE Sales Representative or authorized HPE Partner for availability of MSA Gen7 32Gb Fibre Channel Array models."

A. wrong forum to vent about the server team product decisions
B. HPE 8Gb and 16Gb HBAs are End of Life and no longer available to be bought from HPE. This is why Gen 11 servers do not support them as you can not buy new to put in the server.
HPE Support Center offers support for your HPE services and products when and how you need it. Get started with HPE Support Center today.
