urgent:What is the use of the trust command? Block size msa2040?
hi
What is the value of Block Size for raid5 in HP msa 2040 storage?
I have 15 1.2tb 10k 6g hard drives in raid5.
Which number is 4k-64kb-256k-512kb?
Because I am recovering the raid and I need these numbers
What is the use of the trust command? Does it cause the capacity of vdisk and raid5 to be 0? I had a problem with my storage and I used this command according to the instructions on the site, but it caused 4 of my 7 vdisks to have 0 capacity. Is there a way I can fix it? Of course, the volume capacity is correct. There was a problem with the storage being full, and the access to the storage was completely cut off. And apparently, my metadata pool storage has a problem. I have 7 virtual vdisks. Can anyone help?

Re: urgent:What is the use of the trust command? Block size msa2040?
Hi, The backend disk group block size would be 64KB for 15 x 1.2TB 10K 6G hard drives in RAID 5 in virtual disk group.
You can find more details about trust command in below advisory:
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=sf000048592en_us&docLocale=en_US
Its not recommended performing trust command without engaging HPE support for virtual pool configuration.
The above article was written basically for linear vdisk configuration.
However, the basic working of the command remains the same.
The trust command resynchronizes time and date metadata on the drives, making LEFTOVR or failed drives that were once members of the vdisk active members of the vdisk again.
Since the Pool is reporting fault state with all disk groups in FTOL state, it would most probably require MSA engineering team engagement to proceed further.
Please log an HPE support case as mentioned earlier in previous posts to get the logs reviewed for further assistance with the issue.
