Dear Sir
I need replication between san hpe MSA2040 and MSA2060
Does the HPE hpe support that? And which license do I have to buy?
We look forward to receiving your support

Re: Replication between san hpe MSA2040 and MSA2060?
Hello,
I beleive the replication between MSA 2040 and MSA 2060 is not possible.
For Replication options on MSA 2040 please check this link https://psnow.ext.hpe.com/doc/4aa1-0977enw?jumpid=in_lit-psnow-red.
For MSA 2060 ,I found the below statement for more information check https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=a00094629enw#
"Flexible architecture allows remote replication between MSA 2060 and MSA 2062 or MSA 1060 arrays using the virtual
storage architecture and licensed for Remote Snap with the Advanced Data Services LTU"
Hope this was helpful!
I'm an HPE employee.

Re: Replication between san hpe MSA2040 and MSA2060?
HI,
MSA 2040 is not listed in the replication guide or SMU guide of MSA 2060.
I did a test of replication between MSA 2040 and MSA 2060.
The replication works from MSA 2040 volume to MSA 2060 volume and not the other way around.
I would not suggest setting up replication between MSA 2040 and MSA 2060 as MSA 2040 is an end of life product and MSA 2060 has replication features unsupported by MSA 2040. and it might not be stable.
MSA 2040 supports both linear vdisks and virtual Pool.
The replication that was tested was between virtual pool of MSA 2040 and MSA 2060 as linear to virtual replication is not supported.
