Resetting SAN Switch default IP Address
Hi.
I've cofigured the IP Address on my SAN switch (Brocade 4/12 SAN Switch) connected to my MSA1000 via its management console to have an IP Address within my IP range. Unfortunately I can no longer get on the management console via the new IP Address.
Is it possible to physically reset the IP address on the switch to its default? (10.77.77.77)
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Andy.

Re: Resetting SAN Switch default IP Address
If the sw has an IP you know, you could cross cable a laptop using an IP on the same subnet an login to the switch. Also, there is a cli command to reset the all switch settings to factory default is 'configdefault'

Re: Resetting SAN Switch default IP Address
There is no way to "physically" reset the switch/address; however there should be a serial port that you can use - connect and log in via that port, then use the ipaddrset command to change the address to whatever you need.
