We recently purchased an HPE MSA 2060 Storage unit and have completed the basic configuration. Before moving into production, we are currently working on configuring a storage volume on one of our servers. However, we have encountered some challenges and would appreciate your guidance.
Here is a summary of the steps taken so far:
Storage Setup:
- RAID 5 was created with three disks using the SMU.
- A volume was created within the RAID array.
- A host was created, and the volume was mapped to this host.
Connection Details:
- The storage unit and the server are directly connected using a SAS cable, with no intermediaries.
Issue:
- Despite completing the above configuration steps, the server has been unable to map the volumes attached and configured on the storage unit.
- In the Quick Connect, the target IP connection failed, as indicated in the status report.
- Storage logs have been reviewed by HPE support, and they confirmed that the storage configuration is correct.
Given this information, we suspect that there might be something we are overlooking on the server side. Could you please advise on potential issues or additional steps that should be taken to ensure proper mapping of the volumes?
Your expertise on this matter would be greatly appreciated as we aim to resolve this issue before going into production.

SolutionHi Rabindra
Thank you for your input and update. Yesterday I updated all my HBA drivers; now storage is visible on the server end, and I am able to map the drive to a particular server. issue is resolved now.
Thank you all for your valuable time and support.
