I must flash the BIOS in my LXr 8000 without access to the Navigator CD.
I have created a floppy with the latest (ASPN1.86L.0012.P12) uncompressed BIOS files on it.
There is no operating system on the hard disks.
Which is the step by step flashing procedure?
Cheers and thanks

Solution
Hi Leif,
Note!!!!
If you have a custom BIOS setting mae sure u have them in a peice of paper because after you flash the BIOS the BIOS setting will be defaulted to the factory default settings.
1. Boot the server from the BIOS floppy you have created
2. and follow the on screen instruction (the process will tell you what BIOS level you are at and to what version you are flashing it to)
3. Wait until the server rebooted by itself or prompt you to restart the server
4. After the flash is completed on the next reboot got to the BIOS setup by pressing F2 on Boot
5. If you had a custom setting as I mentioned before make sure they are set as you wanted it (if you did not have a custom BIOS setting just No worries) and press F10 to save and exit
And you are all set
I hope this helps
regards
