FLASHING ORANGE POWER LIGHT PLEASE HELP
PLEASE FORGIVE MY IGNORANCE. OUR COMPUTER SSR IS DEPLOYED TO IRAQ. WE HAVE A NETSERVER LC2000 THAT RUNS OUR FLIGHT PLANNING COMPUTERS. THE LIGHT ABOVE THE PLUG ICON ON THE FRONT IS FLASHING ORANGE & WE CANNOT PRINT FROM ANY OF THE NETWORKED LAPTOPS. WE HAVE REBOOTED & CHECKED ALL POWER & LAN CONNECTIONS. THE UPS IS ON & IN THE GREEN. THE UPS IS NOT SUPPLYING THE POWER FOR THE COMPUTER. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLT APPRECIATED.

Re: FLASHING ORANGE POWER LIGHT PLEASE HELP
This is an LC2000 and not a rack mount LC2000r I assume. If that is the case, the "LED above the plug icon" would be the LED associated with that icon or The RPS (Redundant Power Supply) LED. It has three
distinctive colors:
l steady Green for normal operation
l blinking Red at 1 Hz blink rate for a bad powersupply
l blinking Amber at 0.5 Hz blink rate for a
warning condition indicating a power supply
may not be working correctly.
In this case you need to replace the Power Supply. It could be that the fan stopped spinning and everything is in thermal overload which could have failed the netwrok card if you are having trouble reaching the server through the network. Check the back and the Power Supply's LED

If I assume wrong and it IS rack mounted LC2000r then the "LED above the plug icon" would be the LED in the middle. It has a Thermometer icon to the left.
This is the Temperature LED. It has three distinctive colors:
l steady Green for normal operation
l blinking Red at 1 Hz blink rate for an
overheated condition inside the HP NetServer
l blinking Amber at 0.5 Hz blink rate for a
warning condition.
