I'm adding a 2nd processor to a LP2000r running Windows 2000 Advanced Server. Do you provide a seperate HAL or do I use Device Manager in Windows to update the driver? Thanks.

Solution
In device Manager, you need to update the driver.
In device manager, open computer icon and double click in ACPI device. In driver tab, click Update Driver, NEXT, select Display a list of the known...etc then click Next... mark Show All hardware of this device class an then select ACPI Multiprocessor PC. Insert win2k CD and restart de server when done. This operation is very easy and work correctly.

Re: HAL for LP2000r - Win 20000
Thomas,
if you need to upgrade the HAL, you can do it in device manager.
But you might to check first if you're running a UNiprocessor or a Multiprocessor HAL.
Take a look at http://support.microsoft.com/search/preview.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q234558 for more details.
Marco.
