Hi,
I didn't understant very well you problem, but if you are having problem with hight traffic on the lan, you need to check the cabling and try to change the the port on the switch/hub, ther is also the last version of prosetII (drivers and utility for 10/100TX).

Re: LP2000r 10/100TX NIC

However server LC2000 (Windows 2000) with similar NIC of such problem don't test. Are connected to same Cabletron switch. Where to take last version ProSet & drivers for WinNT 4.0 ?

Re: LP2000r 10/100TX NIC

Sorry I do not see that you had NT4, the version you have is the last one.
If you have other server connected to the switch, try to just swapp the port on the switch, other troubleshooting step will be to have a look at the logs of the switch (is this is a managed one)

Re: LP2000r 10/100TX NIC

Whether there is guarantee of compatibility NIC with Cabletron switch? To give log unfortunately I have no opportunity. The problem is revealed at my client. But as the remark I shall note, that install new not on board NIC by 3com - solves a problem. It does not arrange the client...

Re: LP2000r 10/100TX NIC

Also, we have any problems with on Board NIC of LC2000 with Win2KServer SP3 too. On HP' Driver Site there is a Bios Update Nov. 2000 specially for W2000. For install Bios Update you need to reset CMOS with on board dip 5. You must wait min 30 min before restart Server to install the new bios. If you use WK2000 Server install network driver of Win2K, if you use WNT4 install NT Driver of HP NOS CD M.04.05.

On Board NIC is a low end adapter. If this is not function, you can install a second Adapter for Server (with prozessor)such as a D-Link. You can disable on board Adapter, then you have a good function.

Re: LP2000r 10/100TX NIC

What NIC driver is currently installed on this LP2000r? What is the filename & file date?
Do you have the HP NIC utility installed? If so, what is the name of the utility?
