Move logical drive to another channel

I've a LPR with a netraid 3Si connect to a disk array with the channel number 1. In this disk array I've 2 disks in RAID 1.
Now I've to transfer this array in a LH4 netserver with a integrated controller with only the channel 0, I moved the 2 disks in the new netserver but when I try to read the configuration from the disk from the configuration program (after the mismatch error) I read the disks but they are "READY" and not "ONLINE" and if I save the configuration the logical drive go "OFFLINE". I think the problem is because the old configuration is on the channel 1. Does anyone can tell me how can I move the array to channel 0 of the LH4 without loose the data? Thanks.

Re: Move logical drive to another channel

Reconfigure the array on the LH4 exactly the same as it was on the 3si. From the 3si go to Objects>Physical Drive and record the array info. Make sure you know what order the disks are in. It will be important to configure them in the same order on the LH4. Next, from the 3si, go to Objects>Logical Drive. Record the properties of the logical drive. This is especially important if you have a stripe set and need to get the proper stripe depth in the LH4.
One other thing you could try, if you think the problem is with the drives being on different channels... The LH4 has a channel 1 also. Move the cable to channel 1 and enable the netraid on that channel in the F2 setup.

Re: Move logical drive to another channel

hi
usualy when you connect hdd witha configuration on it, when you reconect to a new controller you sould receive a mismatch configuration, in that case, you have to go in >>configure >>view/add/delete configuration >>view disk configuration, then you check the valid config, and you exit with esc,, then you will promted to save the config.
that 's all
anyway you can also follow the Chris suggestion
