MSMQ very slow on LP1000r
I have some LP1000R (2 cpu, 4GB RAM) servers with a 128 bit 32MB NetRaid controller.
OS is W2K advanced server with MSMQ installed.
I will use the systems for sending bulks of small messages to a Biztalk server.
A test with sending and receiving 10000 msg to the local machine shows me a throughput of 90 msg/sec.
Our current and older system is benchmarked at 1400 msg/sec and even a laptop performs better.
The problem occurs with a clear W2K install with and without SP1, 2 or 3 installed.
Also without a RAID config and HDD connected to the onboard SCSI controller, performance is very poor.
Any idea how to head this?
Your help is much appreciated.
regards,
Peterlp1000r
