I desire upgrade my server with 72GB.
It's possible install one disk 73.4GB (P3579A)? Or only two disk 36.4GB (P2474A)?
Thanks,
Donato

Re: New disk in Netserver LP2000r
P3579A is the maximum capacity disk supported for this server.

Re: New disk in Netserver LP2000r
Yes, you can mixed disk with diferent capacities.
It??s posible that you must update firmware version of SCSI Controller.

SolutionAs long as these drives are not in an Array of any kind, you can add any size drive you wish. The largest drive we have at this date is a 146GB, but 182GBs is around the corner. And
You can add as much store as the server has slots and the maximum drive size available.
The P3579A is not compatible with your LP2000r, it has a different mounting structure. You need the P2475Ao 72GB 10,000 RPM , P2475Aoi 72GB 15,000 RPM or P2475AoX 146GB 10,000 RPM. 72GB 10K was just the largest size available at the time of the LP2000.
You do not need to update any Firmware, but updating your BIOS is always a go idea, except in some cases. Check out the revisions at HP support. The onboard Adaptec may or may not be part of an update.
