problem with LH3
i have a netserver LH3 (bi-cpu 400MHz) but on statup, i a 2 problems:
- Symbios Inc. PCI boot ROM no supported device found
- DRAM=16MB CLUSTER=not supported, I20=disabled
i think the second problem is a result of the first.
but i don't know how correct this
bios 4.06.43PL
management control firmware B.05.10
Symbios v4.0 pci scsi bios PCI rev 2.0, 2.1
PCI 4.14.04
NetRAID adapter bios B.02.03
Integrated NetRAID Firmware D.03.03

Re: problem with LH3
Hello.
These aren't error messages.
The first is generated from the embedded Symbios SCSI HBA. It's means that there where no (boot) devices found. It is normal if the HBA is unused or has no devices that are boot capable.
The second is from the embedded NetRAID and is advising the cache size (16MB), that it does not support cluster (that is as a cluster shared storage controller) and that I2O (a largely unused technology to improve IO performance) is disabled.
Testing the memory a bit, but if you don't normally see the Symbios message (for example it's only recently occured) then it is possible your BIOS setup configuration was lost and the embedded Symbios controller which was previously allocated to NetRAID use has defaulted back to being a 'normal' SCSI controller. This could occur to an aging battery on the IO backplane for example. For an LH3 it would be well time the battery could be about flat after all these years.
Hope that helps.
Andrew.

Re: problem with LH3
i clear the biso recently
but i don't know witch options was modified
I thought that these messages was errors because in install debian, the raid was detected correctly but after reboot, i have an error on raid.
