Restore AIO600 hangs
Hi Guys,
I had to reinstall a AIO600 today, which I did with the restore DVD. After the reboot, the setup of the AIO started, but now it seems that the process is hanging in the "Finalize Installation" step. It has been in this state for 2 hours now. Is something going wrong here ?
Thanks !

Re: Restore AIO600 hangs
Hi Dick,
Yes, something has gone wrong. Please try the restore again.
During the finalizing software and drivers are installed. If any of these comes back with a user interactive prompt, it will not be displayed.
The entire restore process, including copying the image file, should not take more than 1 hour. If you continue to have "hangs", make sure that any hardware installed in the system that was not installed in the factory is removed. This includes CD/DVD ROMs, NICs, SCSI HBAs, ...
You can also try deleting all the logical drives from the SmartArray BIOS. WARNING: This deletes all data on the system and should only be done when there is a known good backup of any data.
Hope this helps,
Jon Paul

Re: Restore AIO600 hangs
Hello Jon Paul,
Thanks for your advice, and you were absolutely right. I temporary disconnected my internal lot3 drive, and the install process went without any problems.
Cheers,
Dick
