Problems accessing VPN from HP laptop and Internet PC Card
Hi, maybe some of you can help me with this issue I am facing:
I am connected to the Internet through a high speed PC Card and need to access my company (HP) VPN.
Though the Internet connectivity is working very well and the connection to VPN is correctly established, I am having issues in accessing some services like email client or HP Jabber. There seems to be some block in one or the other connection settings.
Could some of you possibly help me?
Thanks,
Ilaria

Re: Problems accessing VPN from HP laptop and Internet PC Card
I use VPN connections with a variety of application daily from my HP 9000 notebook.
I struggled with this at first.
The resolution for me was to pick the correct protocol and settings. I found the Advanced IP settings needed to be configured to NOT use the remote gateway or conflicts resulted with some software layers.
I have attached the settings screens for Vista. XP would be similar. You would need to find the same setting in its screen.
