Win XP 1195 and Wep
I have a 1195 which uses the lan-express wireless card. I can only get 40bit or 104 bit encryption. How do I get the more standard 64 128 bit options. The card driver shows 64 or 128 bit as an option but XP does not recognize that.

Re: Win XP 1195 and Wep
Ron,
Just a question but what's the exact model of card? According to what I understand of how XP handles Wireless cards, is that I knows what the hardware is actually capable of doing. What I would do is verify that the card will do 128 bit encryption, however if you could get the exact model number I may be able to help you out a little more. Sorry this isn't more informative.

Re: Win XP 1195 and Wep
Thanks for the reply.
I am using the built in wireless networking in the 1195.
The driver for the nic has an option to enable 128 bit WEP but does not allow me to enter the key. Even with this enabled XP at the networking level only gives me the 40 or 104 bit option.
