Enable enterprise-class remote manageability with the HPE Edgeline EL8000 Converged Edge System
Ever imagined a world with the 3 P-C's- perpetual connectivity, pervasive computing, and precision control? Or a world where everything, everywhere is producing valuable data and being efficiently controlled and maintained? Today, CSPs are changing their business model from solely providing connectivity, to providing digital services to their customers. However, this isn't easy to achieve. Telecommunication networks must move from proprietary technology to open, standard-IT infrastructure running virtualized network functions. Hence, the next big step in CSPsโ transformation is the proliferation of powerful open standard-IT systems at the edge. Thanks to HPE for launching the Edgeline EL8000 Converged Edge System, a new edge platform, specifically designed to help CSPs accelerate that journey. The Edgeline EL8000 is open-standards based and offer enterprise-class remote manageability โ all developed to address the inflexibility and limitations of CSPsโ current closed proprietary edge systems. It also reduces costs and supports a voluminous open ecosystem for the data-intensive real-time digital services that CSPs must offer.
The HPE Edgeline EL8000 delivers an unprecedented combination of capabilities to meet the real-life challenges of the telecommunications network edge. It enables CSPs to deploy high-performance edge systems in their cell sites. Moreover, it offers an infrastructure that supports many workloads and quality-of-service requirements for which tailored slices of the network are employed.
One of the best features of the Edgeline EL8000 is its unique, compact design, ideal for deployments in the most inhospitable places โ itโs also equipped with edge-optimized serviceability and remote systems management. The system is resistant against hazardous environmental influences like heat, shock and vibration, as well as failover, supporting continuous operation between 0 and 55 degrees Celsius. It can run rack mounted or stand-alone in any space available, with either a front-to-back and back-to-front cooling design.
On the contrary, HPEโs collaboration with Samsung accelerates CSP supported 5G adoption, which combines the latterโs radio network technologies and HPEโs new Edgeline system. The OEM customers at the edge value smaller systems with higher performance and reliability which is offered by the Edgeline EL8000. Hence, it is important to engage your OEM customersโ line of business or operations technology that leads to determine if the Edgeline EL8000 can meet an unmet need or future application.
