How did HPE OEM enable CTERA Networks to deliver file services across thousands of remote sites?
Organizations today are rapidly adopting hybrid cloud infrastructures to gain more agility and enable greater collaboration among globally distributed teams. However, providing local file services across thousands of locations has been a challenge for most enterprises.
Traditional file services using network-attached storage do not scale costs effectively as it is often very expensive to manage hundreds of remote offices. And for enterprises with highly sensitive data, security at the edge is a major concern. To address this issue, CTERA Networks, an enterprise software company, developed a cloud-native, cyber hardened file services solution- the CTERA Enterprise File Services Platform, which delivers massive scale with centralized management and uncompromising IT security. As HPE OEM Solutions partner, CTERA has built this file services platform on a range of HPE technologies to provide choice and flexibility for its customers.
According to Oded Nagel, Chief Strategy Officer, CTERA Networks, โWe chose HPE products because of the range of available options that enable us to continually expand our offerings and pursue new markets. Just as important, we value working with good people who we can trust and feel confident theyโll respond quickly to our needs. Worldwide, the support I get from the people in the HPE OEM organization has been great".
CTREA now has access to HPE ProLiant rack servers and HPE SimpliVity hyperconverged platform that provide insights into the HPE product road map to guide CTERAโs business strategy. With the help of HPE OEM, CTERA Networks can now deliver cost-effective file services across thousands of remote sites, while strengthening competitive advantage with responsive, global support.
โOrganizations choose HPE SimpliVity to speed application performance and improve efficiency and resiliency at the edge of the network,โ said Phil Cutrone, Vice President & General Manager, Major Accounts, Service Providers & OEM, HPE. โWith HPE SimpliVity features integrated with the CTERA X Series, customers can re-imagine file service delivery by gaining modernization for storing, accessing, and collaborating with unstructured dataโ, he further added.
